This is the home of the 2012 annual meeting of the SAIL regional group of IAMSLIC libraries.
SAIL meets to enhance the exchange of ideas of marine and aquatic librarians.
SAIL 2012 conference dates are 11-13 April 2012 with an opening reception the evening of Tuesday, 10 April.
Registration for this event is available both online via credit card and by mail-in registration form for those who wish to pay by check or money order. Note: Credit card payments will incur a 2.65% fee.

The Hotel shuttle will pick you up or drop you off to any location within a mile of the hotel, which includes the New Bedford Transportation Center.
New Bedford: Transportation to/from Boston, Providence, New York, etc. Intercity Bus
Peter Pan Bus Lines/Bonanza Bus connects New Bedford with Providence RI, Boston MA, Cape Cod MA (Woods Hole and Hyannis), New York City, Hartford CT and New Haven CT.
You arrive and depart from the New Bedford Transportation Center, 134 Elm Street (map; Tel: 508-990-0000), which is only a short walk from the National Historic Park Visitor Center and Johnny Cake Hill.
Train
New Bedford has no direct train service, but you can ride an Amtrak or MBTA Commuter Rail train to Providence, then take a bus to New Bedford
